Mariana Gómez Maqueo Zaldívar (Ciudad de México, 1993) es artista, curadora y gestora cultural especializada en fotografía e imagen. Estudió Comunicación en la Universidad Iberoamericana, con especialización en Producción Audiovisual, y complementó su formación a través de talleres y programas en instituciones como el Museo Jumex, la Escuela Activa de Fotografía y la Clínica de Obra con Fabiola Menchelli.

Su práctica se sitúa entre la fotografía análoga y digital y explora la relación entre naturaleza, urbanidad e identidad. En su trabajo la imagen funciona como dispositivo visual así como una estructura narrativa que investiga cómo los cuerpos, la arquitectura y el paisaje revelan tensiones entre permanencia y cambio, memoria y desplazamiento, así como formas sensibles de habitar el espacio contemporáneo.

En 2021 expuso en el espacio independiente Islera y presentó Mentalmente, casi siempre estoy aquí, exposición individual en la sala de proyectos de Galería Cromática. En 2024 realizó la curaduría de Sala de espera, exposición individual del artista Claudio Mansour, profundizando en nociones de liminalidad, tránsito generacional y tiempo suspendido.

Desde 2018 colabora con Patricia Conde Galería y, desde 2023, dirige el espacio, donde articula proyectos curatoriales, editoriales y comerciales vinculados a la fotografía contemporánea. Actualmente vive y trabaja en la Ciudad de México.

Mariana Gómez Maqueo Zaldívar (Mexico City, 1993) is an artist, curator, and cultural manager specializing in photography and image-based practices. She holds a degree in Communication from Universidad Iberoamericana, with a focus on Audiovisual Production, and has furthered her training through workshops and programs at institutions such as Museo Jumex, Escuela Activa de Fotografía, and the Clínica de Obra with Fabiola Menchelli.

Her artistic practice moves between analog and digital photography, exploring the relationship between nature, urban space, and identity. Through a contemplative and editorial approach, her work examines how bodies, architecture, and landscape reveal tensions between permanence and transformation, memory and displacement, proposing subtle ways of inhabiting contemporary space. Photography operates both as a visual medium and as a narrative structure, shaped through sequencing, rhythm, and exhibition-making.

In 2021, she exhibited at the independent space Islera and presented Mentalmente, casi siempre estoy aquí (Mentally, I Am Almost Always Here), a solo exhibition in the project space of Galería Cromática. In 2024, she curated Sala de espera (Waiting Room), a solo exhibition by Mexican artist Claudio Mansour, engaging with themes of liminality, generational transition, and suspended time.

Since 2018, she has collaborated with Patricia Conde Galería, and since 2023, she has been directing the space, developing curatorial, editorial, and commercial programs focused on contemporary photography. She currently lives and works in Mexico City.
